We're a family with an 8-year-old Lab, starting a dog care brand.

Before we make anything, we'd like to hear from people who live with big dogs.

No right answers. Most questions are one tap.

The problem

You noticed. Then what?

  1. “He's slowing down.”

One day they're stiff after a nap, or they hesitate at the car boot. You notice, and you're not sure what to do next. Is it just age? Should you be doing something?

  2. The shelf doesn't help.

Clinical tubs. Ingredient lists nobody can read. Big promises. It is hard to tell what is inside, or how much a 30 kg dog really needs.

  3. Then real life gets in the way.

Plenty of dogs refuse the tablet. Some subscriptions are hard to leave. Lots of owners give up, none the wiser.

If your dog seems to be in pain or is limping, please see your vet first. That is a job for them.

What we think owners need

Nothing fancy. Just honest.

  • Plain information

What is normal as big dogs get older, and when to ask a vet.

  • Amounts you can read

What is in it and how much, on the front, in plain numbers.

  • A dose for real-sized dogs

Big dogs as the starting point, not an afterthought.

  • An easy way out

Nothing that is hard to stop, pause or change.

That's what we're trying to build. It isn't for sale, and it may change once we hear from you.

Why we are asking

We'd rather ask than guess.

Pepper is only one dog. We know what he likes, but that does not tell us what you need.

So we are asking owners first. The survey takes 4 minutes, and your answers decide what we make.

A free weekly email

The Big Dog Letter

Once a week, we share practical things about living with a big, older dog: walks and exercise, weight, setting up your home, when to see a vet, and stories from other owners.

It’s free, and you can unsubscribe any time. We may sometimes mention what we sell.

Four minutes. A big help.

Tell us about your dog, and help us get this right.
